Information for Current Learners

At ICE, our goal is to give our students the finest education possible, which includes making sure they have access to the most recent information and advancements in their field of study. At Imperial College of Excellence, we acknowledge that the world is changing all the time, with new ideas and technologies appearing daily. As such, we work hard to stay ahead of the curve, continuously updating our curriculum and teaching methodologies to stay current, relevant, and effective.

Our employees are one of the ways we accomplish this. Our outstanding staff of committed instructors and tutors are all subject matter experts. They are dedicated to remaining current in their fields of study and have a strong love for their work. To stay up to date on any new findings, theories, or advancements in their fields, they frequently participate in conferences, workshops, and other educational events. This enables them to share the latest information with our learners and help them develop the skills and competencies required to succeed in their careers.

Attendance

Students must attend class at least 85% of the time. Reasons for absences should be justified. Except in cases of illness, no student may miss more than two sessions in a row. Medical certificates from the general practitioner are required to support absences for medical reasons. The administrative team has the right to report a student’s absence from lectures to the appropriate authorities if the student misses more than two sessions in a row.

Attendance Procedure

Our learner attendance policy is strict. However, we caution our students that they will have to deal with the repercussions if they fail to show up. Every student should maintain an attendance rate of 85%; if they don’t, the relevant department will be notified.

Termination of Registration Learners

A student may be dismissed if one or more of the following occurs:

-if a student does not pay the course’s tuition (if applicable) by the deadline.

-if a student doesn’t adhere to the attendance rule.

-if a student’s academic development is inadequate.

-If a student violates the code of conduct

Termination as a Result of Outstanding Debt

Any student who owes money to the college may have their registration suspended or terminated at any point up to graduation by the managing director, head of academic programs, or head of administration. The process is applicable to students who are enrolled in the college and owe the college money due to unpaid fees, penalties, fines, or other amounts.

Termination as a Result of Unsatisfactory Academic Progress

Warning

A learner may get a formal warning of failing to fulfill academic requirements from the Head of Academic Programs, Program Leader, or IAG Officer if there is a significant or ongoing failure to satisfy standards for academic advancement. A learner shall have two chances to finish a given module in all internally controlled programs, excluding retake options. The student should have no more than three chances to finish the module in programs that are managed by outside parties.

The Head of Academic Programs or Program Leader may request that a learner’s registration be terminated on academic grounds if they fail to meet the stipulated academic standards, which will be communicated in the written warning under these regulations.

Unsatisfactory Progress following Warning

The Head of Academic Programs or Program Leader must affirm in writing to the learner that a request to terminate registration must be made to the Head of Administration if the learner does not meet the conditions outlined in the written warning within the allotted time. The administrative team will cancel the learner’s registration upon receiving a request to do so, and they will notify the learner in writing of the decision.

Termination as a Result of Gross Misconduct

The Admin Team will evaluate the suggested charges and supporting documentation and decide whether to hold a hearing on a complaint of disciplinary violation if any claimed wrongdoing by a student is deemed serious enough.

Suspension

The head of administration may suggest that the head of academic programs suspend a student or place limitations on their ability to attend the college, be a member, or use its resources.

Notice to the learner

The student who is the target of the complaint will be notified in writing by the administrative team of any action taken by the head of academic programs, as well as the charges that will be discussed at the hearing. The student will also be given fourteen days to reply in writing to the administrative team.

Termination

The administrative team will inform the learner of the decision if the College Disciplinary Panel chooses to terminate them.
