Imperial College of Excellence Vision and Values for IAG

In the fields of art, media and publishing, photography, information and communication technology, business, management, administration, hospitality, health and social care, and child care, Imperial College of Excellence (ICE) seeks to provide a wide selection of reasonably priced application courses. Because its employees are enthusiastic about education and helping our students realize their potential, IAG services uphold the college’s core values. The IAG staff members are particularly interested in helping students grow in confidence and self-worth. We share with the rest of the college our belief that every individual should be treated with courtesy and fairness and we respect the rights and beliefs of each other, regardless of gender, marital status, age, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or position within the organisation.

In order to satisfy the IAG needs and demands of our students, businesses, and the local community, we promote national and regional education and economic initiatives while appreciating fresh perspectives and methods. We think that in order to fulfill our objective and realize our vision, our employees and students should work in a welcoming environment with a strong sense of purpose.

Learner Entitlement

Our learner attendance policy is strict. However, we caution our students that they will have to deal with the repercussions if they fail to show up. Every student should maintain an attendance rate of 85%; if they don’t, the relevant department will be notified.

Termination of Registration Learners

Our goal is to provide our students with an IAG experience that is:

-Superb and provided in a first-rate setting

-tailored to the learner’s needs

-Encouraging them to succeed and go on to their next phase

-designed to support and challenge students while directing them into appropriate courses.

-Gaining self-assurance

Every customer that uses our IAG, including students, potential students, and other stakeholders, is entitled to the following services:

Accessible and Visible

There would be no direct or indirect discrimination in access to IAG. Clients would recognize and trust the services, they would have a convenient range of access points from which they could be directed or recommended to the services they require, and they would be open at times and locations that work for them.

Professional and Knowledgeable

IAG frontline employees possess the abilities and know-how to promptly and efficiently determine the client’s demands. We possess the abilities and know-how to either attend to the client’s demands or direct them to appropriate alternative services. Along with national priorities, each ICE IAG service’s learning and development requirements are determined during the business planning and employee evaluation processes. Employability skills, leadership and management, professional and subject updating through lengthy and brief external courses and conferences, and other developmental activities are among the needs that have been highlighted.

Impartial

Customers are entitled to objective, realistic, and unbiased information, counsel, and direction. Referrals to outside organizations will be made as needed.

Integrated

From the standpoint of the clients, connections between IAG services would be evident, irrespective of the program or study location. Clients will receive assistance when switching between services, if needed.

Aware of, and responsive to Diversity

The variety of IAG’s services would represent the needs of its clients, both now and in the future.

Enabling

Parents, employers, employees, partners, learners, and inquirers should all be able to make well-informed decisions about how we can best support their unique training and development requirements. By giving clients the ability to access and use information to plan their careers, IAG services would promote and encourage clients to become lifelong learners. They would also help clients consider the implications of both employment and learning in their future career plans.

Patient, Friendly and Welcoming

Clients would be encouraged to successfully interact with IAG services. The ICE website, prospectus, and free pamphlet inform clients of this entitlement.

IAG Delivery

All prospective, enrolled, and inquiring students at the ICE are subject to this policy. A variety of guidance activities and procedures are referred to under the general title Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) for the purposes of this policy. The definitions listed below have been applied:

Information

Information is data on opportunities that are communicated through a variety of mediated and unmediated media, such as websites, textual or printed materials, phone assistance lines, ICT software, and in-person interactions.

Advice – this involves:

-assisting a student in comprehending and analyzing data

-supplying details, responding to inquiries, and providing clarification

-miscommunications

-being aware of their situation, capabilities, and goals

-giving advice on choices or how to proceed with a certain plan of action

-recognizing needs and directing and sending students who might require more thorough direction and assistance.

Although it can sometimes be done in groups, advisory work is typically given one-on-one.

Guidance – aims to support learners to:

-Become more self-aware and aware of their requirements

-Break down barriers to comprehension, education, and advancement.

-Handle problems and disputes

-Create fresh viewpoints and approaches to issues.

-be capable of realizing their potential and managing their lives more effectively.

Referrals for specialized advice and support as well as advocacy on behalf of certain students may also be included in guidance. This calls for more thorough one-on-one work from staff members with guidance training.

A number of topics related to IAG are covered in our tutorial curriculum, such as developing soft skills for work readiness, preparing a CV, interview preparation, and safety. The ICE will offer support in relation to:

-The variety of services offered by the ICE

-Fees and additional costs related to a course of study

-There is financial aid available to support individuals pursuing education and training.

-Admission requirements, credentials, certification, and study methods

-Materials, apparel, and equipment that the student is required to supply

-Impartial career counseling and advice

-Aspirations, inspiration, and personal goals while on route

-Advice for its present students to talk about advancement

Key Personnel

Our college’s IAGs are led by the Managing Director and IAG Officer. The following are important process managers:

-Managing Director

-Learner Welfare/IAG Officer

We collaborate with a variety of partner companies. In order to guarantee that the greatest variety of advancement chances are accessible and that all students obtain unbiased, superior IAG, we are dedicated to creating high-quality IAG provision in collaboration with our partners.

IAG staff, curriculum, ICE Information Services, and Admissions and Enrollment all give information about courses. If the ICE does not have the information, the IAG staff will either look for it on the person’s behalf or give them the name and contact information of the organization that will have the information they need.

Current and prospective students can speak with an advisor in person, over the phone, or in writing, and guidance is given by fully qualified, professional individuals. In addition to advocating for and supporting equality of opportunity, we will make every effort to present information in a way that best meets the requirements of each individual.

Assessment Review and Evaluation

In order to guarantee a good caliber of IAG service, we shall assess its delivery to make sure that:

-The ICE’s own pamphlet is followed while providing information, advise, and guidance services.

-The Quality requirements are followed when delivering the IAG requirements.

-The Matrix Quality Standard’s “Principles for Coherent Information Advice and Guidance” would be followed in the provision of the information, advice, and guidance services.

For IAG, we aim to obtain the MATRIX standard kite mark. This data may be accessed in the Self-Assessment Report and is used in the ICE self-assessment process at the conclusion of the academic year.
