Definition of Self-Funding
Students who cover their own tuition fees—without relying on government student loans or organizational sponsorship—are classified as self-funded. This category also includes those who use private loans or postgraduate student loans to finance their studies.
Please note that Imperial College of Excellence (ICE) does not currently facilitate advanced learner loans. Therefore, we are unable to provide Learning and Funding Information Letters if you choose to apply for such loans.
As a self-funded student, you can securely pay your tuition fees in full—either by card or bank transfer—or, in most instances, you may arrange to pay in instalments.

This eight-semester programme can be completed in under three years for full-time students, thanks to Imperial College of Excellence’s three-semester academic calendar.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must provide:
- –A high school graduation credential (A-Level/higher secondary equivalent), a high school equivalency diploma, or a recognized college associate degree or higher as per the transfer admissions policy.

- –Participation in a pre-admission interview.

Payment Options for Self-Funded Students
Yearly tuition fees: £11,600 (Scholarships available for exceptional candidates)
You are typically considered a self-funded student if you:
- --Pay for your studies yourself
- --Receive financial help from family or friends
- --Receive funding directly from an external source (excluding government educational loans)
Please avoid using third-party agents or individuals you do not know when transferring payments to Imperial College of Excellence, as doing so increases your risk of financial crime, scams, and fraud.
Funding from an Employer
Some employers may fund their employees’ professional development to help them excel and, in turn, strengthen the company’s competitive edge. If you are already employed, it may be worth inquiring whether your employer has a policy or scheme to support further study.
Payment Plan
- --Full Payment: Pay your tuition for an entire academic year in a single transaction online via card, bank transfer, or an online payment platform.
- --Instalments: Set up a Direct Debit or Standing Order to make payments on three fixed dates each academic year. A valid bank account is required for this option.
Once you accept and confirm your unconditional offer, we will create a student fees account in the Imperial College of Excellence portal. Through this portal, you can track all payments made and view any invoices issued to you.
