Student Welfare

The Student care Services Team acknowledges that students enrolled in synchronous courses require pastoral (non-academic) care; however, we are unable to provide this to our Online Certificate students due to the large number of students. We provide students with counsel and direction on a variety of personal and academic issues. Maintaining your physical and emotional well-being is essential to maximizing your academic performance.

The Student Support Services team comprises specialized personnel who provide counseling, welfare, wellbeing, and bursary advice, either on a one-time or ongoing basis. They are pleased to assist with any question or issue. Students can schedule appointments with any member of the team by visiting the administrative office or by sending an email to info@ice-global.org.

Welfare and Engagement Advisers

Our students’ welfare is a top priority, and the college has a team, headed by the IAG officer and the head of administration, that works with students who require extra help, advice, and direction with their mental health and welfare, particularly when it affects their academic performance. Students with safeguarding concerns are also assisted by the team members. A Welfare and Engagement Advisor supports curriculum areas and works with students in those areas. They also support enrichment.

This assistance is provided in-person, over the phone, and via email. The support staff can also recommend outside, specialized assistance services to students.

Students may discuss a variety of issues with the Student Support Team, including but not restricted to:

-Homesickness

-Living arrangements

-Study-related challenges include stress, poor time management, lack of confidence, perfectionism, procrastination, handling criticism, etc.

-Financial worries

-issues pertaining to the course, group dynamics, extensions, etc.

-Physical and mental health problems, such as stress, anxiety, and depression

-Personal problems, such as bereavement and challenges in relationships and family

-Learning challenges include AD(H)D, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia.

Welfare Advice on Application

Although students are free to disclose learning challenges or assistance needs at any point, we strongly advise you to do so as soon as possible so that we can provide you with the greatest possible help throughout your academic career. By doing this, we will be able to arrange for any academic assistance you might require and, with your consent, inform the appropriate tutors about how your health can affect your studies and how we can best help you.
